As part of the ongoing collaborative project with the Shenzhen Planning Bureau, to develop the Shenzhen Urban Design Action Plan report, a research and strategic design workshop was held in June-July 2011. Architecture and urban design students were invited from Columbia University GSAPP/China Lab, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Harbin Institute of Technology’s Shenzhen campus, TU Vienna, and University Iauv of Venice to document and analyze the key ‘points’ where the urban design interventions will take place.
